Chorus Paulinus

Chorus Paulinus was founded by composer and arranger, Father Arnold Zamora, with musical director Frederick de Santos. Named after their first parish in 1992, Saint Paul the Apostle, in Timog, Chorus Paulinus has been serving and performing for over 30 years.

Known for their signature vocal blend and acapella style, Chorus Paulinus has competed and participated in choral competitions, concert tours, and choral festivals, including the annual Madz et Al, as well as performing for various seasonal and special events.

Chorus Paulinus foremostly regards itself as a Church Choir, serving the Lord through musical excellence. The Choir has also been a supporter of various communities, outreach programs, and charitable institutions. Chorus Paulinus has since made their new home in The Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish, in West Triangle Homes, and in The Parish of the Holy Sacrifice, in UP Diliman.

Frederick de Santos started his training in music as a scholar at the Philippine High School for the Arts, going on to Major in Voice as a Tenor at the University of the Philippines, College of Music.

During his years at the College of Music, Fred became a member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers. He has also taught at the UP Extension Program in Music, as well as at the Ryan Cayabyab Music Studio. Subsequently, he would become a member of the esteemed, first and only, professional choir in the country – the San Miguel Master Chorale. He continues to sing with Koro Madrigal, a group consisting of other alumni of the Philippine Madrigal Singers.

At present, Fred is the musical director for Chorus Paulinus, and other choral groups in Metro Manila, while also teaching Voice at Miriam College.
